Camp Services

The aim of the Peniche Surf Camp Reception is to make your experience at Peniche Surf Camp as unique, comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Reception is open from early morning until late in the evening and is here to provide a number of important services as well as assistance with any information, queries, or problems guests may have during their stay. The phone line is open 24 hours, so we are always contactable even overnight between opening hours. Reception services include:

• Check in and check out (upon arrival and departure)
• Bookings of surf classes
• Surfboard and wetsuit hire: We have a large and varied selection of top quality surfboards (from beginner softboards, longboards and fish, through to advanced level shortboards) and wetsuits of all sizes available
• Bookings of airport transfers/taxis/rental cars/day trips, bicycle rental
• Rent skateboard
• A well stocked First Aid kit is always available (in case of any minor injuries)
• For families, we are able to provide the contact details of a trusted and reliable babysitter

In the reception area there are 2 computers providing free internet access, plus free wi-fi connection and seating for guests to connect to the internet using their own laptops. Situated in the same building as our reception is our administration office, a small surf shop and a library of books and DVD’s. Hot and cold drinks can be purchased from the reception area and laundry services are also available (charged per Kg). Guide booklets to the local area and surf spots are provided along with recent surf magazines for guests to browse at their leisure. A weekly surf forecast, plus information on any weekly events (such as BBQ’s, Yoga classes, etc) are pinned to the notice board and updated daily.

Our Administration office (where we handle online bookings, financial accounts, etc.) is situated next to the reception, this means that our office staff are always close at hand should you have any queries regarding these matters.

The Recreational area is situated just outside the reception building and openly invites our guests and their friends to socialise and enjoy the great facilities this area provides.

One of the best features of this area is the lookout terrace with its great ocean view, where you can check the surf, enjoy a drink, play some music, or simply sit and relax in the sun.

Next to the lookout terrace is a large BBQ area where fun social BBQ’s are held twice a week. These BBQ’s are a social focal point of our camp and allow our guests from all over the world to get to know each quickly and easily in a fun and friendly environment. This large tabled area can also be used by guests just to meet, hang out and socialise together at anytime during their stay. Wi-fi is available in this area for guests to access the internet, as well as an ipod connection to enable you and your friends to play and enjoy all your favourite music and a TV/DVD to watch your favourite surf movies. A table tennis (ping pong) table and table football (fusball) table are also situated in this area for the use and enjoyment of our guests at anytime.

Between the lookout terrace and BBQ area there are hot showers and wetsuit hangers available for you to use after surfing. There is also a board storage garage, where we can store any personal boards for you while you travel if you wish. Another extremely useful feature of this area is a large map of the local area painted onto the side of the board storage garage showing all of the main surf spots in the area.

Inside the reception we have a small space with technical material and souvenirs! You may find some brand new and second hand surfboards and wetsuits, board covers, leashes, fins, wax etc. We also have t-shirts, hoodies and others.
